Financial support, flexibility and well-being: the benefits that Mexican

In our previous study on employee satisfaction at work , Capterra shows the results of the factors that help an employee feel satisfied or comfortable in their job and also those that have the opposite effect. Recognition of effort, salary, work-life balance, good atmosphere among colleagues, opportunities and training for professional development are some of these factors.

In this article, we continue the study by delving into some key areas of the relationship between employees and the company, such as benefits and allowances, the evaluation and recognition format, the usefulness of employee development programs, as well as the opinion of employees on the use of software to manage these aspects, for example, software to evaluate performance or programs that help with the incorporation of new staff.

Financial support is the benefit that employees value most in their work

To conduct this study, Capterra launched an online  thailand whatsapp number data survey to 1,045 people during July 2023. The selection criteria for participants was as follows: they must be residents of Mexico, be between 18 and 65 years old, be full- or part-time employees of a small or medium-sized company, and, in their work, report or submit reports regularly to a manager.

The benefits that companies offer their employees are key factors in retaining them. For example, as indicated in the previous article on job satisfaction, 28% of SME employees who are thinking of leaving their company say that one of the reasons is that the benefits offered are insufficient. But what are the benefits at work th embracing the possibilities of the future at employees value most? The three main ones mentioned by those surveyed are the following:

Do SMEs in Mexico currently offer these benefits? According to the study, they do. The three most valued benefits in general, indicated in the graph above, are also among the top 5 benefits th loan data at respondents say they have in their current company:

43% indicate that they have benefits in labor flexibility.

39% indicate that it has benefits for well-being and health.
32% indicate that they have additional parental support benefits (for example, additional days for parental leave, company daycare, etc.).
31% indicate that they have financial support benefits.
27% indicate they have food benefits (e.g., restaurant/company food discount coupons, discounts on healthy food options, office snacks).
10% of respondents also say that their company does not offer any benefits. Companies that do not offer benefits are advised to consider doing so (if possible), as this can be a differentiating factor when an employee decides to stay or change jobs, or when a candidate accepts or rejects a job offer.
